Effective August 9, 2026
RoommateSplit is made by a small independent developer in Canada. These terms are short on purpose — here's the honest deal.
RoommateSplit helps your household track shared expenses, chores, and balances. Unlocking the full app is a one-time purchase made through the Apple App Store or Google Play (their payment terms and refund processes apply). No subscription, no recurring charges. One unlock covers the whole household up to its seat limit.
RoommateSplit keeps score; it doesn't move money. Balances are calculated from what you and your roommates enter, and settling up happens outside the app. Double-check anything important — the app is not financial, legal, or tax advice.
We may block devices or households that abuse the service.
Your household data belongs to you and your roommates. How we handle it is covered in the Privacy Policy. Households you share are visible to everyone in them; you can delete your household at any time.
RoommateSplit is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable, but we're a tiny operation: we can't promise uninterrupted sync, and we're not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or roommate disputes. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is capped at what you paid for the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer-protection law in your province or country.
If these terms change materially, we'll update the effective date above. Questions: support@roommatesplit.app. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada.
